Least Expensive Bedroom Furniture Materials

!±8± Least Expensive Bedroom Furniture Materials

As you begin to explore furniture stores on your quest to find new furniture for various bedrooms in the house, you'll notice that there are extreme variations in price, even between beds that appear to be similar and of comparable quality. What makes the difference in the price, and what are the least expensive bed materials that you can purchase?

If you are looking at discounted bedroom furniture, you're going to find a mix of prices on different materials. However, with standard store pricing, cherry bedroom furniture is probably going to be the highest cost material you'll find. The wood itself is not as common as cedar or oak, and it is more difficult to manufacture. Mahogany is also a higher-end material. Both cedar and oak can be found for reasonable prices. This inexpensive bedroom furniture is especially nice because it can be stained to appear similar in color to more expensive woods, so you can achieve the same design factors for a smaller price.

Less expensive than these wood beds are some types of metal beds. For example, brass beds will cost about the same as a typical cedar or oak bed. A brass bed will last a long time and be quite sturdy, though it requires a little more care than wood and will need to be polished every once in awhile and frequently rubbed down for fingerprints to maintain shine. Wrought iron beds are inexpensive as well, and when you are purchasing master bedroom furniture, you'll find that this is a popular option on the market with a lot of styles to choose from. A wood and iron bed can run you about the same price as well, giving you another decorating opportunity altogether.

One of the most inexpensive materials you'll find is MDF - medium density fiberboard. Though constructed in the same manner as the flimsy particle board that is found in the drawer bottoms of so many cheap dressers, this material is thicker and stronger and, due to the resin, is even heavier than wood. Many casual sets will include at least some MDF to save on the cost of manufacturing, making the end product cheaper and more appealing to consumers.

Of all the various materials that bedding is made out of, aluminum is probably the least expensive. While it is durable, it doesn't tend to last as long as other materials, rusting, becoming tarnished, or flaking (especially if painted). This material is commonly used in kids' bedroom sets because they are replaced more frequently and therefore don't need to hold up as long. Also, since Mom and Dad have to spend money to replace their boy's or girl's bedroom furniture a couple of times, they want to save on the cost, and aluminum is the least expensive way to go.

So, from the top down, you have hardwood items, like cherry wood, with oak and cedar just under that cost. Then, you'll find brass and wrought iron, or a mixture of wrought iron with wood to be the next step down in price. MDF will save you a lot of money, but the least expensive bed material is probably aluminum.

Different Styles of a Beach Lounge Chair Are Suited For Different Uses

!±8± Different Styles of a Beach Lounge Chair Are Suited For Different Uses

There are some different styles of the basic beach lounge chair available on the market today. Each type has characteristics which makes them better suited for certain uses than others. Lets take a quick look at these different designs and for what uses they are best suited.

One of the original beach lounge chair styles is an Adirondack version of a lounger. These are usually made out of wood or recyclable plastic resin "lumber" that actually resemble wood. Most of these are quite comfortable, being slightly contoured to fit your body. Whether wood or not, they are usually offered in a variety of colors and have optional cushions, also in a great selection of colors and fabrics. Though not overly heavy, they are not really portable for hauling down to the beach. These are best in your backyard or around a pool where you can just leave them where they're at or scoot them to where you need them. This style is often seen at resorts, either around a pool or lined up on a beach. They are classy, they look good, they are durable and they give a good overall impression to resort clients, or guests around your personal pool.

Besides the more deluxe Adirondack style, you can also get beach loungers that have a wood frame with a fabric cover. And though these do fold up nicely, they are also best suited at pool side or at an resort.

Another distinct style of the beach lounge chair is one with an aluminum frame with either wood or plastic arm rests. This form of a lounge chair is often more sophisticated than you would originally guess. Many of them are ergonomic, with special cushions to tuck behind your back or head or under your knees. Others have what is known as a ponytail or face down hole which makes lying on your back or stomach more comfortable (think lying face down and reading a book). These types of loungers are more adjustable than the Adirondack style, with such things as arm rests that can be either up or down and out of the way. You can get an aluminum framed beach lounge chair in a variety of water resistant fabrics in many colors and designs.

Naturally these loungers work well at the pool or in your back yard, but one great thing about these chairs are that they are lightweight, so they are very portable. So the main recommended use for this style is a beach chair lounger is to take with you to the lake shore or ocean beach. Some even come with a special carrying strap or case. The aluminum framed lounger comes in many styles and start at a variety of price points, so you are bound to find one to suit your need and your budget.

Many people may argue that the last design I am going to discuss is not even a real beach lounge chair. True, it is also known as a portable beach mat, but it qualifies as a lounger because it has a steel frame and an adjustable, reclining back rest. This lounger folds up and has a carrying strap, so it almost looks like a bag, some even have an outer zippered pocket which contributes to this look. So these are the ultimate for portability. Not only great for quick trips to the park or beach, but also great for camping.

WIth spring and summer just around the corner, a new lounger may be just the thing you need. But remember to carefully consider how your beach lounge chair will be used before deciding which design will work best for you.
